Pigeon Academy is part of the Circinus Foundation, a Dutch non-profit organization that aims to connect professionals for human-animal-environmental welfare and sustainability.
Circinus Foundation facilitates real-time collaboration and data sharing among professionals globally. The foundation seeks to achieve its objectives by, among others, being structured into different academies focused on specific integrated topics to specialize the knowledge while fostering a sense of community among professionals.
Our Story
Pigeon Academy started as a grassroots effort by passionate European bird lovers advocating humane urban pigeon management. It has since evolved into the Circinus Foundation‘s dedicated ‘Academia,’ a non-profit based in the heart of Europe, uniting those committed to harmonious coexistence with urban wildlife while addressing the needs of cities and businesses

As a non-profit organization, our mission is to promote and implement humane pigeon management solutions that respect both urban needs and wildlife welfare. Our values center on compassion, education, and sustainability. We believe that effective pigeon control doesn’t require harmful methods, and we’re committed to proving that through our work. Every solution we propose puts the wellbeing of birds first while addressing urban challenges.
Our Expert Team
Our team consists of dedicated volunteers, bird behavior specialists, veterinarians, and urban wildlife advocates who share a deep love for pigeons. We combine our passion for bird welfare with practical expertise in urban wildlife management. Our members include wildlife biologists, zoologists, and experienced bird rehabilitators who donate their time and expertise to our cause.
Certificates & Licenses
Though we operate as a nonprofit organization, we maintain all necessary certifications and licenses required for bird management work. Our volunteers undergo regular training in humane wildlife handling and management techniques. We adhere strictly to animal welfare guidelines and environmental protection standards, ensuring our methods meet both legal requirements and ethical considerations.

Over the years, we could build strong relationships with different parties around the European continent. Now we are collaborating with universities, animal welfare organizations, municipalities, and veterinary companies that share our vision for humane urban wildlife management and use advanced technology to provide humanistic solutions not just for pigeons but also for other animals.
